A Few Things I've Learned About K9 Advantix II

K9 Advantix II protects your dog against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, and is water proof. It comes in liquid form and is applied directly to the dog's coat, usually between the shoulder blades. It lasts approximately 30 days before needing to be re-applied. This is an excellent preventative for dogs that enjoy the great outdoors such as rolling in the grass, running in the woods, and jumping in the lake. These little romps that you dog loves so well can expose him/her to every owners nightmare, fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. This product fights and protects your dog from all the hazards that come with these activities and is water proof.

However, DO NOT USE ON CATS!! and user's are advised to not use this product when there are cats around. You never know when your cat will rub on your dog, or rub on something your dog has rubbed on. Cats are unable to metabolize certain aspects of the ingredients. If you use this product on your dog and you have a cat, you must keep them separated for at least 12 hours after application.

All flea treatments are suppose to kill fleas. This is one of the few products that will also kill ticks, and mosquitoes, and is water proof, all rolled into one easy to apply tube. That in itself makes this an excellent product. I have many clients that use this product and they say it works very well.

I live in a rural community and a large amount of my clients live on farms or in highly wooded areas. Their dogs are exposed to many outdoor activities that increase the opportunity for fleas and ticks to invade their coats. This spot on treatment is the best for all around protection.

The main active ingredients are permethrin, imidacloprid, and pyripoxyfen.
