Flea Control Tip

by Rob Karpick

Teresa,

One thing that my wife and I have done in the past was to wash our dogs in lye soap. There is something about the lye that has a natural repelling quality toward fleas and ticks. Not 100% guaranteed, but we were very successful with this method.

Important to note, we washed the dogs weekly and it has to be soap, DO NOT use straight lye!

Happy washing!

Thanks Rob,
This is a very great option, especially for families that like snuggling with their pets. You don't have to worry about the oily residue left by the "spot-on" treatments.
